Eader PTA Committee Overview

Volunteers make a PTA. Great activities, programs, and events rely on volunteers’ time and resources. This cheat sheet provides information about the heart of the PTA: committees and committee chairs. These are just fancy ways of describing helpers and teams. The first page provides a short overview and definition of committees and committee chairs. We describe our current committees and chairs (or vacancies) on the following pages.

Get Involved: Join a PTA Committee!

Got ideas, energy, or a passion for making our school a better place? Joining a PTA committee is the perfect way to make a difference! Our committees power all the fun events and exciting programs throughout the school year. Don’t let the word “committee” throw you off—it’s simply a group of friendly, enthusiastic PTA members collaboratively bringing great ideas to life. How can you get involved on a team?

  • Step 1: Find Your Passion. Whether it’s an event, activity, or program that sparks your interest, there’s something for everyone. Pick what excites you and dive in!
  • Step 2: Make a Plan. Every committee comes up with a simple, straightforward plan that aligns with the PTA's goals, making sure what we do positively benefits our school and community.
  • Step 3: Have a Blast! Whether you're planning an event, running an assembly, or crunching numbers, the PTA board and Mr. Holbrook will support you every step. It's a team effort, and we're all in it together.

So why wait? Join a committee and help shape the future of our school—one fun activity at a time!

Lead the Way as a PTA Committee Chairperson!

Ready to make an even bigger impact? Stepping up as a PTA committee chairperson is a great way to lead and bring exciting activities to life. Just like “committee”, don’t let “chairperson” intimidate you—it’s really just guiding a group of awesome, motivated PTA members toward a common goal. Plus, you’ll have plenty of support along the way!

As a chairperson, you’ll:

  • Guide Your Team: Lead a committee to plan and execute your event or program.
  • Set the Tone: Bring enthusiasm and positivity to keep everyone motivated.
  • Stay Organized: Keep your committee on track and report progress to the PTA board as needed.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the PTA board, school leadership, and the community to ensure your event meets everyone’s needs.
  • Spread the Word: Publicize your event and encourage participation.

Step up, have fun, and help create amazing experiences for our school!
